In Memory of…Dianne Main (1940–2009)

On December 3, 2009 Rockin’ for Rescue lost one of their founding members Dianne Main to an 8 year battle with cancer.  Dianne is Lisa’s mom and was the driving force behind Rockin’ for Rescue. She was so proud of  HYPERLINK “http://www.rockinforrescue.org” Rockin’ for Rescue and what it had accomplished in such a short time; she never missed a board meeting no matter how sick she was.  No matter how cold or hot it was, Dianne gave 110% at every event. As the treasurer, Dianne’s main responsibility was not just keeping the papers filed, but she was also responsible for shipping out every CD and t-shirt that was ordered. She kept the meeting minutes at the board meetings.  You could say she wore many hats.

Keeping impeccable records, Dianne knew who donated to Rockin’ for Rescue and how much they donated. Not only did she donate her time but also her hard earned dollars to the cause.  She was always thinking of ways Rockin’ for Rescue could generate revenue.  Dianne loved all of Gods’ creatures and loved Rockin’ for Rescue so much that instead of flowers at her funeral she asked that people donate to the Rockin’ for Rescue Foundation. In doing so, Rockin’ for Rescue raised over $600! Thanks to all of you who have donated in Dianne’s memory.

The night before Dianne passed away two huge supporters and members of Rockin’ for Rescue came to visit her.  Susan Carson and Kimberly Castrellon of Bandmates stopped over with nice little gifts and happy energy for Dianne like they always brought.  We were all sitting around talking about Rockin’ for Rescue and Dianne was telling Susan that she just couldn’t do as much anymore and that Susan WILL be a board member.  With that being said, Susan has become an executive member of Rockin’ for Rescue and has brought with her the same spirit and enthusiasm that Dianne had.

Although Dianne is gone physically she is still here in spirit! We love And miss you!!
